jingyi_studio

JINGYI is a London-based artist working across painting, photography, performance and scenographic installation. Drawing from personal memories, collective testimonies and historical research, she explores sites of intimacy and permission, from nightlife and family gatherings to temples and customs offices, asking how we participate in systems of care without being consumed by them.

Through images, installations and constructed environments, her works reveal the tensions between comfort and captivity, devotion and self-erasure, inviting viewers to reconsider their inherited identities, and what emerges after its rupture.

Her works have been showcased at London Museum “Oh How We Dance” (2026), “Of Broken Myths and Becoming Dawn” at Noiascape Gallery (2025),“Mythology Inspired” at Loosenart Rome (2024), “Violent Divinity”at Luckypot (2024), Somerset House (2022), “UnderPLAY” at Crypt Gallery (2022), Wuzhen Fringe Festival (2019), with raving reviews from Gallery Bagging, Skinny Mag, etc., and has given workshop & talks to Stills Edinburgh, OutsideIn, and Central Saint Martins UAL.
